My name is Jolomi Egodo also known by the stage name. “KingJayy”. I am a rapper and songwriter from Delta state, Nigeria.
My main genre of creativity is Hip Hop/Trap but my secondary genre is Afro Fusion.

 

I am inspired by a lot of things that have happened around me or my environment, peoples stories etc. The realization of my current potential (which is amazing) and what the future has in stock for me is what motivates me to be more creative.

About The Project

The project “Long Overdue” is my first ever project and that is very special to me. I have been making music for the past 5/6 years without a body of work to expose my sound to the public and that came about the name “Long overdue” which means something that is Long awaited. The project also shows the versatility in my sound as I surf through different genres of music from Drill to Afro-fusion (PalmWine music and Afro Rap) to Trap.

With the diversity of this project, I intend to penetrate different music Markets and gain new audiences.

Furthermore, within the last 1 year, I have been able to conduct strategic research towards what areas I can strengthen to help push and promote the project to my standard vision and I would need:

  • Visual Content for one of the songs on the project.
    1. Styling- 80k naira per outfit (2 outfits needed for one visual content) – 160k
    2. Videographer and a team of editors – 300k naira for a Video.
  • Editorial Shoot for the project: 1 indoor shoot and 1 outdoor shoot.
  • Internet and social media promotion: This entails sponsored ads running for at least 60 days for each content posted.
  • Radio promotion for a minimum of two songs off the project.

In total everything can be rounded up to a minimum of, but not limited to 600k+ Naira to be put into the digital and social media marketing area of my promotion plan.

I strongly believe in this project and what the outcome will be, through sufficient funding and the personal strategies I have in mind. I believe my sound is unique and I could be known as one of the greatest with the right push.
