My name is Olufunmilola Adams, stage name, Lola Adams. I started singing at age 9 in a club in my secondary school, then in the choir till I got into the university.

I started music professionally in 2020 but I was a performing artiste, still at large. I have features with amazing artistes such as Zinoleesky and a 4 song EP made with a good friend.

 

I love the infusion of different sounds which test my creativity. My genre but is ‘Alté soul’ because I love soft music with sweet rhythms. I find myself also writing songs in other genres like, Afrobeats, Afro soul, Trap and many more.

I breathe music, writing about life and love, especially because I love love. Love inspires me, hurt, pain, heartbreak, anger, hate and other emotions inspire me too. Being human inspires me. Music gives a large space for expression which is inspiration on its own.

About The Project

I’ve always dreamed about how much I want people to relate to my music, how I want my sound to be heard and how I want it to speak to the human race. This is why I am working on a 6 track EP titled SCARFACE the E.P.

The reason for the title: Scarface, is because I have a very obvious scar on my face. The EP talks about different emotions humans feel, from sadness to being carefree, seeking attention, to being in an unnecessary race with no obvious finish line. We fear what the future holds and terribly seek validation and acceptance. I want my music to tell people to be confident as they are and will always be exceptional. It is more like telling myself and telling anyone out there who cares to listen.

I was inspired by my emotions. Love still plays a huge role in finessing the art and as such, love as an emotion will be infused. The songs are currently still in the works and all funding would go towards the production and promotion of this project.
