I’m Oba Lurge, an independent Nigerian creative who hails from Badagry, a coastal and regional part of Lagos Nigeria.

My creative journey started after joining the debate Society in primary school and it evolved into songwriting later on. Coming from a rich cultural background and life experience, I draw a lot of inspiration from real life situations, past experiences and the energy around me.

My music is a fusion of Afrobeats, Dancehall and Hip Hop. Some of my major influences are Jay Z, Burna Boy, Drake, Wizkid & Ty Dolla Sign.

 

I have written and recorded over 1000 songs including collaborations with popular musicians like Joeboy, Iyanya and Duncan Mighty. My discography is rich with 3 Eps and 11 singles.

Music for me is more than just my thoughts and emotions, I live for this and I feel like the greatest man in the world with a mic in my hand.

About The Project

I’m currently working on my 4th Ep, titled: Son Of George, a project that exactly defines the basis of my existence.

It is going to be a 5 track project that features Iyanya and would be distributed by Universal Music Nigeria.

I’m seeking funding for the project to aid brand and marketing as I have already covered major costs on production, engineering and artiste agreements.

The goal for this project is to get more reach with my brand, grow my fanbase through visual art marketing, primarily through advertising, promotion social media and paid promotions on radio and cultural influencers.
