My name is Ijezei Raphael I’m from Edo state and my fans call me Ral-pha-el. I’m a singer, and my genres are Hip hop, RnB, blues, Afro pop, Afro fusion, rap and melodic drill, I create music with my voice.
I’m inspired by love and the calmness music brings to the heart. My genre of songs have clarity, elegance, and transparency. They improve concentration and memory.

 

 

What inspires me to my write most of music is based from exploring musical ideas, drawing on special memories or writing a song about love, friends and family.
Nature also holds a vital role in my music. The connections between my emotions, music, and the natural world are all interwoven. My emotions are profoundly tied to musical sounds, while having a deeply rooted emotional connection with nature they are drawn from my past and also present.

 

 

My biggest motivation stemmed from when I was a kid. As a kid I was always different from every other person, I always wanted to do something others weren’t doing so when I started singing, I was laughed at by a lot of people. “You sound like you’re mourning someone”, was the sentence I always got when I sang. So I made up my mind to not stop until I became so good at music that I wouldn’t be laughed at anymore. Now I love what I do, this memory only motivates me to do more.

About The Project

My Project, ‘Mixed Feelings’ consists of two songs: Without You and Heartbreaker.

Mixed feelings was created from a true love story of a girl that couldn’t seem to live without her lover and at the same time couldn’t seem to stay with him. Hence “Mixed Feelings” the feeling of love and hate for him.

Without you, is a song where a guy expresses his feelings of not wanting to live without his lover because of all the good times they had. And in Heartbreaker he expresses how bad he felt when she left him.

This project is dear to me because it is very relatable and young adults can easily connect with it as relationships can be very complicated. I plan to put them up on major streaming platforms such as Audiomack, SoundCloud, Spotify, iTunes and promote them with  video snippets on social media platforms like IG, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube ads.

The entire project will cost about one million Naira, 30% of which will be used for placement on all streaming platforms, 30% for creation of snippet videos for both songs and the remaining 40% for promotion on all social media platforms including ads on YouTube.
